As of Friday, 21 US states, as well as Guam, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico have stay-at-home orders in place, asking residents to shelter in place. Some cities and counties in states that don’t have these policies have issued similar orders.
Twenty-six states have loosened their restrictions to allow some businesses to reopen: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
